THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF ALTAI FLOUR MILLS CO., LTD. SPOKE ABOUT PERSPECTIVES OF ALTAI FLOUR EXPORT

The Director General of Altai Flour Mills Co., Ltd., Vitaly Kopytov, gave a report at the 9th Winter Grain Conference, which was held in the town of Belokuricha of Altai Krai in the period from March 2 till March 4.

The conference had representative nature and once again confirmed its authority in the agricultural and processing sphere and a big practical significance for the formation of state policy and business development options. The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Evgeny Gromyko, who emphasized the relevance of carrying out action of such format in Altai Krai, took part in the work of the conference. During his performance the Deputy Minister noted the necessity of the region and the country export potential development, and also the importance of the state support for the Russian agrarian. Besides, The Director of the Department of plant growing, mechanization, chemicalization and protection of plants of the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture Pyotr Chekmarev, the Deputy Governor of Altai Krai on agriculture Aleksander Lukyyanov, the Head of the Department of Altai Krai for food, processing, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnologies Tatyana Zelenina, leading experts of the agricultural market Dmitry Rylko, Vladimir Petrichenko, Vitaly Smirnov, Evgeny Gan and many others made a speech at the conference.

As usual, reports on macroeconomic, agriculture, world market, forecasts of development were made, the economy perspective in general and in certain regions was mentioned.

Vitaly Kopytov's report was devoted to the prospects of export of flour from Altai Krai. Vitaly emphasized that in Russia there was no more region for which the flour milling was as topical as for Altai Krai, nowhere in Russia the grain processing was so powerful branch, and nowhere in Russia foreign flour markets were so desirable as in Altai. On a global scale Altai Krai had a huge food potential, had no problems with ecology, and was located in relative geographical proximity to the countries with a growing food demand.

Altai Flour Mills Co., Ltd. believed that the perspective sales markets for Altai flour were the countries of Southeast Asia. The analysis of structure of import of flour by Asian countries was provided in the report and the most sensitive issues which require the solution for Altai flour to go to the Asian market were designated. Summarizing, Vitaly emphasized that the Altai millers needed available logistics that could not be achieve without participation of the state, and competitive production for which it was necessary to reconsider the traditional approaches of questions of quality of finished goods, packing, marking and many other things.
