Another successful humanitarian operation of Altai Flour Mills Co., Ltd

In the first fortnight of February 2016 Altai Flour Mills Co., Ltd. finished the food products delivery to Armenia including 60 metric tons of rice, 80 metric tons of buckwheat, 80 metric tons of sunflower oil and 40 metric tons of pasta. The delivery was carried out under the contract with the United Nations World Food Programme, which was concluded according to results of the global tender. The contract was not large, but the products quality, package, marking, shipment date requirements were very strict. The larger part of the products was shipped in December, 2015, the rest was shipped in January 2016. The producers of the products under this contract were “Aleyskzernoprodukt”, CJSC named after S.N. Starovoitov, OOO Yug Sibiri and approved vendors from Krasnodar Krai and Voronezh Oblast. It is remarkable that Altai pasta was delivered for the UN World Food Programme for the first time.

Altai Flour Mills Co., Ltd. began to deliver flour and other grain processing products to Armenia at the beginning of 2014. The deliveries were made by railway cars, but due to the great distance and absence of through railway service, the transportation took a lot of time and was quite expensive. At the end of 2015 – 2016 the first delivery by road transport was organized, that allowed to reduce the transportation deadline greatly and to perform the contract in the desired for the UN WFP date.

The long distance to Armenia is not very favourable for the package safety of the cargo. However, this time the loss was minimal and the acceptance of the goods with participation of a survey company was successful.

Our company performed a difficult contract and once again proved its responsible attitude to contracts.
