Altai Flour Mills met with the Chinese Delegation and took part in business reception of foreign trade operators

January 21, 2016 by the invitation of Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Altai Flour Mills Company took part in two events connected with foreign trade of Altai Krai – reception of the Government of the city of Manzhouli of People’s Republic of China and business reception of foreign trade operators of Altai Krai. Visit of the delegation of the Government of the city of Manzhouli of the People’s Republic of China took place in Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was devoted to the signing of expectancies Protocol of cooperation in the field of agricultural production, products and agricultural technologies trade. It wasn’t the first visit of the largest China boundary region to Altai Krai. It is positive that the Chinese party sees high potential in food resources of Altai Krai and maintains interest in cooperation.

From Altai party grain traders, grain processors and logistic companies took part in reception of the Chinese delegation. Among grain processors, except Altai Flour Mills, representatives of the Agricultural association Topchikha Flour Mill and Naladchik Cereals Works participated in this meeting.

However, the meeting with the Chinese envoys was to a greater extent devoted to grain supplies to Tianxia, but not grain processing  products. Actually, arrival of the Chinese delegation was dated to official solemn (with participation of Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to signing of the agreement on grain supply between Hengsheng Manzhouli Grain and Oil Crops Export and Import Limited Liability Company and OOO TD Hermes.

We, representatives of grain processing branch of Altai Krai, are not  pleased with this situation at all. Grain is our resource which has to remain and be processed in the region, and already in the form of production with a value added be taken out of borders of the region on internal or foreign markets. Signing of this agreement is not success of Altai business at all. The Chinese party achieved deliveries to its market of Altai grain known for the high quality. Now our grain will promote development of grain processing branch of the People's Republic of China. By the way, during the meeting it was said that  wheat and oil-bearing crop processing production capacities have being constructed  in Manchuria for a long time, i.e. in the territory border to Russia. We can only hope that Altai Krai will keep the potential of the largest grain processing region in Russia and Central Asia and production of Altai grain processing will be not less demanded in the markets of China and all Asia, than Altai grain.

Annual business reception of foreign trade operators organized by Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Altai Center of Coordination and Support of Export-Oriented Small and Average Business became the second event in which our company took part this day. Business representatives of different branches of Altai Krai were brought together, the results of foreign economic activity for 2015 were summed up, prospects of development of trade and economic cooperation for 2016 were defined, active participants of foreign economic activity were awarded. In our branch awards and letters of thanks were gone to such respectful enterprises as Aleyskzernoprodukt, Topchikha Flour Mill, Naladchik, Yug Sibiri and AgroSibRazdolye. We are proud of progress of our colleagues and that Altai production finds its consumers far outside Russia.
